Dynamics of the Role:

The role will be responsible for managing strong relationships with key clients. The incumbent will be accountable for BURO will act as verifiers for the risks identified in their respective Business Unit by a process of self-assessment and shall discuss the findings with the Chief Risk Officer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- To conduct Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and maintain Risk Registers for the respective Business Unit in consultation with the concerned Management Committee member heading such Business Unit

- BURO will act as verifiers for the risks identified in their respective Business Unit by a process of self-assessment and shall discuss the findings with the Chief Risk Officer.

- Embed the risk appetite statement and risk limits into their day-to-day activities so as to embed prudent risk taking into the Company's risk culture and day to day management of risk.

- Will help facilitate, partake and verify the results of the self-assessment process and opine on the departmental/business assessment of risk types, quantification and frequency.

- Ensure that all operational and enterprise risk issues are brought to the attention of CRO and the Department/business every month.

- Review the appropriateness of the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

- Responsible for the timely follow-up, documentation and status of action plans, open issues (Internal Audit, External Audit, Regulator) and other initiatives pending its completion.

- Identification of risk events is required to be done on an ongoing basis by the BURO for existing processes and on ad-hoc basis as required for new product introductions, projects or changes contemplated to existing products and processes.

- BURO will report to their respective departments/businesses, but work closely with CRO within the risk management framework and policy

Experience and Skills:

Qualification: MBA from preferably top 20 B-Schools, OR MA(Economics) / M. Statistics from top 10 institutions; Graduation in Engineering/Economics/Statistics/Commerce from top-Tier colleges

- 12+ years' experience in BFSI/Risk Consultancy, Compliance & Policy, Credit Risk Knowledge of Banking/ Lending Industry would be preferred.

- Executive presence and assertiveness.

- Self-starter, ability to work independently, handle ambiguous situations and exercise judgement in variety of situations. Strong communication, organizational, verbal & written skills.

- High degree of responsibility and ownership, strong multitasking, coordination and tenaciously looking for ways to get results.
