Purpose of the role:
The position plays a crucial role in driving business opportunities within the defence sector by actively liaising with business partners, customers, and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of tendering, proposal preparation, and project coordination to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. This position demands a proactive and strategic approach to business development, ensuring that cost-effective and competitive proposals are submitted within the required timelines while maintaining compliance with industry and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
- Contribute to the creation of annual marketing plans and budgets.
- Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, events, and traditional media.
- Manage campaign budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely and effective campaign execution.
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to drive online engagement and lead generation.
- Manage social media presence and content creation.
- Analyze digital marketing performance and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
- Oversee SEO/SEM efforts.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
- Assist in the development of brand guidelines and ensure adherence.
- Monitor brand perception and implement strategies to enhance brand equity.
- Track and analyze marketing campaign performance and provide regular reports.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI.
- Prepare and present marketing performance reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and customer service.
- Mentor and guide junior marketing team members.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies.
- Plan and execute marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, and webinars.
- Manage event logistics and ensure successful event outcomes.
Requirements:
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree.
- 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
- Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation systems is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of marketing analytics and reporting tools.
