Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager - Accounts & Finance to join our dynamic team at our chemical manufacturing plant in Roha, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in the manufacturing industry, and will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the plant's financial and accounting functions, including ledger management, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and presenting them to the CFO.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and company policies.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes to optimize financial performance.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity management in coordination with the finance team.
- Implement internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Supervise and guide the accounting team at the plant, providing training and mentoring.
- Support the CFO in financial planning, decision-making, and strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit process and ensure timely resolution of any audit queries.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Manage and prepare reports related to working capital management, fixed assets, and inventory.
- Assist in the implementation and automation of financial systems and processes for improved efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications: B.Com / M.Com / CA Certification and/or MBA in Finance.
- Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in Accounts and Finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Industry Preference: Manufacturing (Chemical Manufacturing experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of tax laws, GST, and other regulatory requirements in India.
