Position Summary

This role is for the Trade Business will serve as a strategic partner to the Sales & Distribution leadership, enabling business goals through proactive HR support. This role is responsible for driving people strategy, organizational development, talent management, and employee engagement aligned with the commercial priorities of the trade business.

Key Responsibilities


1. Business Partnership

- Collaborate closely with trade business leaders to understand key priorities and align HR strategies accordingly.

- Provide insights and analytics to support sales force productivity, performance trends, and manpower effectiveness.

2. Talent Management

- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and internal mobility for the trade teams.

- Partner with L&D to drive capability building programs focused on frontline and mid-level sales leaders.

3. Performance & Rewards

- Implement robust performance management practices aligned with trade business KPIs.

- Contribute to sales incentive program design and effectiveness review.

4. Employee Engagement & Culture

- Foster a high-performance culture through continuous engagement with geographically dispersed teams.

- Roll out pulse surveys, employee connect programs, and action planning.

5. Compliance & ER

- Ensure labor law compliance, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes across regions.

- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address field-level HR risks.

6. Change Management & OD

- Support business restructuring, market expansion, or go-to-market changes with appropriate HR interventions.

- Conduct org diagnostics, span of control assessments, and role clarity initiatives.

Key Requirements

- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institute

- Experience: 12-16 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 5 years as an HRBP to Sales/Trade functions

- Skills:

- Strong business acumen and stakeholder management

- Exposure to field HR operations

- Data-driven decision-making

- High adaptability and travel readiness

Location : Kolkata (Extensive travelling involved)
