As the Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Marketing for our Luxury High-End Venue Management, Banquet & Catering company, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the brand image, drive revenue growth, and ensure a strong market presence. This leadership position demands a dynamic individual with a proven track record in luxury hospitality marketing, a strategic mindset, and exceptional leadership skills.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to position the company as a leader in the luxury high-end venue and catering industry.
- Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies, including digital, social media, and events, to drive brand engagement and lead generation.
- Media and database buying at the correct rates.
- Collaborate with senior management to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Implement robust analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of AI in the marketing perspective for driving analytics.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management, demonstrating the impact of marketing efforts on business outcomes.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
- Conduct regular market research to identify opportunities for brand growth and development.
- Devise and execute lead generation strategies to acquire high-quality leads for venue bookings and catering services.
- Utilize a multi-channel approach, including digital marketing, social media, partnerships, and events, to generate leads from the desired demographic.
Brand Management:
- Build and maintain a strong brand presence in the luxury events and catering sector.
- Reshape brand profile for making it future looking.
- Specific focus on sustainability and DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusivity) angle to create brand awareness for the business. Suggest tie ups.
- Develop and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity.
- Cultivate and enhance brand equity through targeted campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop and execute a strategic brand-building roadmap to enhance the company's presence in the luxury market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify unique selling propositions and key differentiators.
- Implement innovative marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and relevance in the target market.
- Craft a captivating brand narrative that resonates with the target audience and communicates the company's values and mission.
- Develop and maintain a library of brand stories that highlight successful events, collaborations, and client experiences.
- Ensure the brand story is consistently conveyed across all marketing channels.
- Create and enforce comprehensive brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand identity.
- Oversee the development of visual assets, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and resonate with the luxury market.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure consistent implementation of brand guidelines across all touchpoints.
Content Creation, Partnerships and Collaborations:
- Lead content creation efforts to produce compelling and relevant materials for various platforms.
- Develop marketing collateral, promotional materials, and content that reflects the luxury brand image.
- Content creation parameters as per luxury hospitality standards - Board Decks, Mood Boards, Colours and Hues, Fonts etc.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and storytelling across all communication channels.
- Identify and foster partnerships with influencers, luxury brands, and other relevant entities.
- Negotiate and manage collaborations to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Communications & PR:
- Develop and implement corporate communication strategies to maintain a positive brand image.
- Craft and disseminate press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
- Plan and execute industry events to maintain market leadership in conjunction with key partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers.
- Manage PR campaigns to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Cultivate relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers from the wedding and events industry.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews and features.
- Collaborate with external agencies for advertising, PR, and digital marketing campaigns.
- On boarding of agencies at best negotiated rates.
- Ensure agencies adhere to brand guidelines and deliver high-quality outputs.
Market Research and Competitive Intelligence:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities in the luxury events and catering segment.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, analyzing competitors' strategies, strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and stay ahead of market trends.
Team Management:
- Use industry connect to build a robust team of go - getters as part of the Marketing team.
- Lead, mentor, motivate and manage the entire Marketing team to achieve media savings and correct brand image.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
- Set clear sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and provide regular performance feedback.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports directly to Business Head (Chief Operating Officer)
Manages directly Entire Business Marketing Team
QUALIFICATIONS: - Graduate or Postgraduate/ MBA in Marketing.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with a significant portion in luxury hospitality or event management. Currently in a Marketing leadership role.
KNOWLEDGE:
- In-depth understanding of the luxury hospitality, venue management, and catering industry.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools, analytics, and platforms.
- Proficient in analysing marketing metrics and using data for decision-making.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, and social media strategies.
- Understanding of AI from the Marketing perspective.
SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate and convey complex ideas clearly.
