Deputy Finance Controller - D2C

Job Description:

We are hiring a seasoned Deputy Finance Controller for a fast-growing D2C brand. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing end-to-end finance functions, strong business acumen, and a background in high-growth consumer-focused businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead financial reporting, accounting, and controllership functions.

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.

- Prepare financial statements as per Ind AS/IFRS.

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Implement internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

- Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax compliance (Direct & Indirect).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost optimization and business strategy.

- Provide actionable insights to the CFO and leadership for strategic decision-making.

- Manage investor reporting and MIS preparation.

- Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

- Qualified CA or MBA (Finance).

- 610 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and controllership roles.

- Prior experience in D2C / FMCG / E-commerce sectors is a must.

- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax.

- Excellent command over Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
