Data Management Consultant - Consulting Team

We are seeking a skilled data management consultant to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data management and governance, with a solid understanding of industry best practices. As a data management consultant, you will help organizations establish robust data strategies, optimize data governance processes, and ensure data quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Governance & Management: Lead data governance initiatives, ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and secure across the organization.

- Strategy Development: Work with clients to develop data management strategies that align with business objectives and industry standards.

- Data Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor data quality metrics, performing regular assessments to ensure the integrity of data assets.

- Consulting & Advisory: Advise clients on best practices for data management, providing actionable recommendations to improve data handling, storage, and usage.

- DAMA Framework Implementation: Implement data management frameworks, adhering to DAMA (Data Management Association) standards, including data architecture, data quality, data lifecycle management, and more.

- Compliance & Security: Ensure that data management strategies are compliant with industry regulations and security standards.

- Training & Support: Provide training to clients on data management tools, techniques, and governance processes, ensuring sustainable practices.

- Data Integration: Facilitate data integration across various platforms, ensuring consistency and smooth flow of data within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 6-10 years of experience in data management or consulting, with a focus on data governance, data quality, and data strategy.

- Expertise in DAMA principles and hands-on experience with data management frameworks and standards.

- Strong knowledge of data management tools and technologies (e.g., data warehouses, data integration, data quality tools).

- DAMA Certification or other relevant certifications in data management (preferred).

- Excellent understanding of data governance processes, including data ownership, metadata management, and data compliance.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex data environments.

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.

- Bachelor's degree / MBA (Full-Time Preferred) in a related field.

- Proficiency in data-related software, tools, and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence.

- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and technologies.

- Previous consulting experience with top consulting firms is a plus.
