Data Analyst

About the Role:

This is not your typical analyst role. You'll be the first data hire, owning everything from writing SQL to designing dashboards to building the initial data infrastructure. You'll work directly with product, business, and risk teams to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights - and ensure we have the data pipelines and tooling to do it at scale.

What You'll Do:

Analytics & Decision Support:

- Define and track KPIs across acquisition, repayment, retention, and engagement

- Build dashboards and self-serve reporting tools for cross-functional teams

- Run ad-hoc analyses to support product experiments and credit decisioning

- Help product and risk teams understand user behavior and portfolio performance

Data Infrastructure & Engineering:

- Set up data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest and transform data from multiple sources

- Own and manage our data warehouse (BigQuery/Snowflake or similar)

- Implement best practices for data modeling, governance, and quality

- Evaluate and set up tools for BI, visualization, and data ops (e.g., Metabase, dbt, Airflow)

- Ensure data availability, accuracy, and performance at scale

What We're Looking For:

- 2+ years experience in a data analyst, analytics engineer, or data engineer role

- Strong SQL skills - you're comfortable joining, filtering, and aggregating large datasets

- Experience with BI tools like Metabase, Looker, or Tableau

- Exposure to setting up or managing data infrastructure (pipelines, warehousing, etc.)

- Bonus: Experience with dbt, Airflow, or cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)

- Bonus: Fintech or credit domain experience (especially in underwriting or repayment analytics)

- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building from 0- 1
