Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Credit Risk Management Specialist with a strong background in Corporate Banking. In this role, you will be responsible for managing collateral and limit facility processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall credit risk management framework. You will leverage your deep understanding of credit risk principles and your experience with wholesale banking to safeguard our assets and ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of financial instruments and markets.
Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Management Principles:
- Apply a strong understanding of credit risk management principles to all aspects of corporate banking operations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of credit risk policies and procedures.
Collateral Management:
- Manage and oversee collateral management processes and regulations for corporate entities within a wholesale banking environment.
- Ensure accurate valuation, monitoring, and control of collateral.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
Limit Facility Management:
- Manage and oversee limit facility management processes and regulations for corporate entities within a wholesale banking environment.
- Ensure accurate setup, monitoring, and utilization of credit limits.
- Manage the process from credit application to limit setup as part of the post-sanction process.
Credit Application and Limit Setup:
- Understand and manage the complete process from credit application to the setup of limits as part of the post-sanction process.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of credit applications and limit setups.
Limit Facility Utilization, Monitoring, and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze limit facility utilization, identifying potential risks and deviations.
- Prepare and manage Basel III reporting related to limit facilities.
- Develop and maintain reports on limit facility performance and utilization.
Systems and Technology:
- Demonstrate familiarity with Oracle Banking Enterprise Limits and Collateral Management (or similar systems).
- Utilize technology to enhance credit risk management processes and reporting.
Financial Instruments and Markets:
- Maintain a strong knowledge of financial instruments and markets, including their impact on credit risk.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and regulatory changes.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Participate in audits and regulatory reviews.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of credit risk management principles involved in Corporate Banking.
- Proven experience managing collateral management processes and regulations for corporate entities for a Wholesale Bank.
- Proven experience managing limit facility management processes and regulations for corporate entities for a Wholesale Bank.
- Understanding of the process involved from credit application to setup of limits as part of post-sanction process.
- Understanding of the limit facility utilization, monitoring, and Basel III reporting.
- Familiarity with Oracle Banking Enterprise Limits and Collateral Management (or similar).
- Knowledge of financial instruments and markets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in credit risk management or finance.
- Advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Experience in a large, complex financial institution.
