Job Summary:
As the Creative Manager, you will lead the creative vision and execution for all brand, design, and multimedia projects across our companys marketing, product, and branding initiatives. This role requires a balance of hands-on design skills, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to ensure our brand resonates with audiences and aligns with our business goals. You will oversee a multidisciplinary creative team, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and contribute directly to key projects to maintain high standards and push creative boundaries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Creative Direction and Brand Development:
- Shape and Evolve the Brand: Lead the development and refinement of our brand identity to ensure consistency across digital and physical platforms, from app design and product packaging to marketing campaigns.
- Conceptualize and Execute Campaigns: Collaborate with product, marketing, and business teams to ideate and deliver compelling visual storytelling and brand narratives that elevate our brand and resonate with target audiences.
- Design Systems and Brand Guidelines: Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system, creating templates, guidelines, and style guides that streamline the creative process and ensure consistent brand expression across all channels.
2. People Management and Team Development:
- Lead and Mentor a Multidisciplinary Team: Manage a team of designers, content creators, and creative professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering an environment of growth and creativity.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee hiring efforts to build a robust creative team, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to support individual and team development.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, establish clear goals, and provide actionable feedback to maintain high performance and team alignment with the companys goals.
3. Strategic Project Management:
- Oversee High-Impact Projects: Lead and execute major creative initiatives, including brand campaigns, app design, video production, and social media strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders (e.g., Founders, Directors, VPs) to understand project requirements and align creative work with business objectives.
- Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets and resource allocation effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Hands-On Design and Content Production:
- Design & Production: Contribute to design work as needed, from brand identity and packaging to digital assets for web, social media, and app interfaces.
- Video & Multimedia Creation: Oversee and participate in the production of multimedia content, including video editing, motion graphics, and story-driven content that supports marketing and brand initiatives.
- Brand Assets & Collateral Development: Develop visual assets for key touchpoints such as websites, event materials, and app UI to enhance user experience and brand interaction.
5. Innovation & Process Improvement:
- Build Efficiency with Tech: Implement tools and introduce generative AI or automation in the creative workflow to enhance productivity and streamline repetitive tasks.
- Design Documentation and Systems Building: Document processes, creative standards, and brand assets to support long-term scalability and knowledge transfer within the team.
- Continuous Learning: Keep up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technology to ensure our brand and creative processes are innovative and relevant.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on creative experience, including at least 3 years in a management or team lead role within branding, marketing, or a related field.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of building, managing, and inspiring creative teams with a passion for developing and coaching team members.
- Design Proficiency: Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc., Experience in both digital and print design, including UI/UX design principles.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills with experience in balancing multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative Problem Solver: Ability to translate business goals into creative strategies and execute them effectively, balancing business needs with brand vision.
- Collaborative Mindset: A team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work effectively across departments and levels, from individual contributors to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in design i.e B.Des or M.Des from NID, IIT or any other Tier 1 design school in India or any reputed international university.
- Industry Experience: Background in e-commerce, retail, or a high-growth tech environment, ideally with experience in both B2B and B2C markets.
- Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating both leadership in brand-building projects and hands-on design work across multiple mediums.
