Job Summary:
- The Country Head will oversee the operations and strategic direction of the company's activi ties.
- This role involves managing key business functions such as finance, operations, and human resources, ensuring that the company meets its financial and operational objectives.
- The Country Manager will collaborate closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive business growth, manage risks, and cultivate a culture of excellence and accountability within the county.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies tailored to the county to achieve company objectives and long-term goals.
- Provide guidance and leadership to department heads and employees within the region ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the country to drive growth.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations within the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage the financial performance of the company's operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Work with the finance team to optimise resource allocation and manage cash flow.
- Review and approve major expenditures, contracts, and financial commitments within the company.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the county management team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Implement talent management initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent within the county.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the region including customers, partners, and local government entities.
- Represent the company in negotiations, presentations, and public engagements within the country.
- Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on county performance and strategic initiatives.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to the county's operations, reputation, and financial stability.
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and ensure business continuity within the country.
- Ensure the county has adequate insurance coverage and risk management policies in place.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the county.
- Encourage and support the adoption of new technologies, processes, and practices to enhance business performance.
- Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational efficiency within the county.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business administration, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably within a similar-sized company or county.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial reports.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements.
