About the Role:

- We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer / Cost Reduction Specialist to join a long-term consulting assignment (1.5-2 years) with a leading player in the passenger vehicle segment.

- This is a strategic, on-site role focused on driving cost optimization, value engineering, and structured cost-saving initiatives across various vehicle systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive cost reduction initiatives across multiple vehicle platforms

- Conduct benchmarking, teardown analysis, and cost modeling

- Collaborate with design, procurement, and supplier quality teams

- Engage suppliers to evaluate cost structures and negotiate improvements

- Lead VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) activities and workshops

- Track, validate, and report cost-saving measures and ensure implementation

Candidate Profile:

- Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering

- 5+ years in cost engineering, cost reduction, or VA/VE, preferably in passenger vehicle programs

- Strong knowledge of automotive components and manufacturing processes

- Experience working with or within structured cost reduction teams (OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers)

- Proficient in teardown analysis, supplier engagement, and cross-functional collaboration

- Willing to travel as required by the project
