Cost Optimization Consultant - Pharma & Biotech

Location: Bangalore

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Objective:

Achieve - 80-100 Cr cost optimization in plant indirect expenses, manpower efficiency, and COGS benchmarking for formulation products.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Operations Cost Optimization:

- Identify and implement cost-saving measures in Utilities, QC Consumables, Spares, Services, IT, Admin, and Logistics (Inbound & Outbound) through procurement and consumption strategies.

- COGS Reduction for Formulation Products:

- Lower API costs via process improvements and procurement strategies.

- Optimize excipient costs through AVD and formulation adjustments.

- Reduce packaging costs through design modifications.

- Improve yield efficiency and conversion cost optimization.

Manpower Optimization:

- Conduct spans & layers analysis to enhance workforce efficiency, focusing on operators and analysts.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 7-12 years in cost optimization, procurement, or operational excellence in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.

- Proven expertise in cost reduction programs and COGS optimization.

- Strong understanding of plant operations and formulation processes.

- Experience in manpower analysis and workforce optimization.

- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

- Experience in cost benchmarking and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
