Role: Corporate Legal Associate

Location - Bengaluru, Full time- On-site

Experience: 5-7 Years

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Legal Lead who will establish and scale our legal function as a strategic enabler of our 5 - 7 year growth vision. This role is critical in ensuring our expansion across multiple countries is fast, compliant, capital-efficient, and risk-managed.

The Legal Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and cross-functional teams, embedding legal as a proactive driver of market entry, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and manage legal entities across multiple jurisdictions, navigating incorporation, foreign investment, and regulatory processes.

- Oversee all aspects of legal compliance including corporate governance, commercial contracts, product regulations, IP, and employment law.

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors, partners, and franchisees.

- Build and scale legal frameworks to support rapid brand entry and expansion across diverse markets.

- Manage relationships with external counsel and consultants across multiple countries, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment of advice.

- Implement and optimize legal technology tools to drive efficiency, compliance, and scalability.

- Provide strategic legal counsel to leadership, acting as a proactive partner in business growth.

Experience & Skills:

- Multi-Country Expertise: 3-5+ years of legal experience with exposure across India, GCC, and Southeast Asia. Proven experience in entity setup and regulatory navigation in multiple jurisdictions.

- Domain Knowledge: Strong foundation in corporate law, commercial contracts, franchise/licensing, regulatory compliance, IP, employment law, and company secretarial matters.

- Growth-Stage Experience: Hands-on experience building legal frameworks from scratch and scaling them across geographies or growth stages.

- External Counsel Management: Skilled in managing outside counsel efficiently across multiple markets.

- Tech-Enabled Mindset: Familiarity with contract management systems, compliance monitoring software, and AI-driven legal research tools.

- Cross-Functional Skills: Strong communication and influence across non-legal functions (marketing, finance, supply chain, product).

- Leadership & Integrity: High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to be a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
