Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Manager with hands-on expertise in the erection and installation of industrial boilers (AFBC is a must), piping systems, and project management across multiple sites. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering industrial construction projects on time and within budget while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Site Execution

- Oversee erection and installation of various types of boilers, with specific experience in AFBC boilers.

- Supervise the erection and installation of piping, including the ability to calculate total running meters and ensure adherence to engineering specifications.

- Ensure all work complies with IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations) from project initiation through to commissioning and handover.

- Coordinate and implement NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) for quality assurance and structural integrity.

Project Planning & Management

- Develop and maintain macro and micro project schedules to ensure timely completion of all construction activities.

- Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and costs, taking corrective actions when needed.

- Ensure proper documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Contractor & Budget Management

- Identify, finalize, and manage contractors for site activities.

- Negotiate pricing with vendors and contractors in line with the project budget and scope.

- Oversee contractor performance, ensure quality standards, and manage on-site labor.

Team & Site Leadership

- Lead and manage site engineers and field teams across multiple project locations.

- Foster effective collaboration between engineering, procurement, and site operations teams.

- Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, labour laws, and company policies across all sites.

- Promote a safety-first culture by conducting safety audits, toolbox talks, and compliance training.

Customer & Stakeholder Relations

- Act as the primary point of contact at site level with customers and clients.

- Travel to different project sites as needed and represent the organization professionally.

Key Requirements

- Mandatory hands-on experience with AFBC boilers.

- In-depth knowledge of IBR formalities and documentation.

- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and budgeting capabilities.

- Ability to handle multiple projects/sites simultaneously and manage cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with labour law compliance, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards, and industry best practices.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.
