We are seeking an experienced Strategic Business Development Manager with a strong background in sales and marketing to spearhead growth initiatives within our PCD Retail Division. Based in Ludhiana and Uttarakhand, this role is crucial for identifying new market opportunities, driving new product launches, and expanding our channel presence. If you have a proven track record in FMCG, Telecom, Automobile, or Oil & Gas sales, excel at both B2B and B2C strategies, and are ready to lead a team, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
- Market & Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new markets, customer needs, and untapped business opportunities within the PCD Retail sector.
- New Launch Management: Play a key role in the successful planning and execution of new product launches, from market assessment to go-to-market strategy and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement robust B2B and B2C sales strategies to achieve aggressive growth targets. This includes direct sales efforts and strategic partnerships.
- Channel Development & Management: Drive channel sales expansion, including the identification and appointment of new dealers and effective distributor handling to optimize reach and sales performance.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability and achievement.
- Vacant Area Mapping: Systematically identify and map vacant market areas with high potential for business expansion, developing strategies to penetrate these regions.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to drive long-term business growth.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing actionable insights.
- Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to ensure our strategies remain competitive and effective.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 7-10 years of progressive experience in Sales & Marketing roles, with a strong preference for candidates from FMCG sales, Telecom sales, Automobile sales, or Oil and Gas sales industries.
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Channel Expertise: Demonstrated experience in channel sales, dealer appointment, and distributor management.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with prior experience in handling and motivating a sales team.
- Market Research & Analysis: Proficient in conducting market research, identifying new opportunities, and analyzing customer needs.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret sales data, market trends, and identify actionable insights.
- Product Knowledge: Experience in a similar industry and in-depth product knowledge relevant to PCD Retail is a distinct advantage.
- Brand Management: Exposure to brand management concepts and strategies is a distinct advantage.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Education Background
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
