- We are seeking a highly experienced and a visionary leader for the role of Project Manager within the Project & Planning Department.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience and a strong background in construction management.
- This role requires an expert in planning and scheduling, with overall responsibility for ensuring the integrity of all project schedules.
- You will lead a team, provide strategic guidance, and serve as the key point of contact for all project timeline-related matters, ensuring all major projects are delivered on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management & Integrity: Take overall responsibility for the integrity of all project schedules.
- You will provide strategic guidance to your team to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- You will have an overview of schedules on all major projects and support or audit schedules on minor projects.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep technical knowledge of the construction process to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
- You must be fully conversant with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and MS Projects, with expertise in various schedules including Master, Pre-construction, Design, Procurement, and Construction.
- Team Leadership & Management: Head up the Project & Planning Department, building and mentoring an effective team.
- You will delegate tasks based on individual skills, set clear expectations, and provide regular performance feedback to foster a high-performing culture.
- Communication & Reporting: Ensure management is kept fully informed on all critical or overdue activities.
- You will be responsible for preparing and sending daily progress reports to both the client and project team.
- Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will be crucial for presentations and clear documentation.
- Process & Systems Oversight: Ensure adequate systems, including document control and drawing management, are in place to effectively manage the design process.
- You will be responsible for preparing and submitting MDR (Master Document Register) to senior management and the client.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A BE/BTech in Civil Engineering is mandatory, and a postgraduate degree is also required.
- Experience: A minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience, with a background in established construction management companies or contractors.
- Experience in environments that emphasize planning and timely completion, with overseas experience being advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of Design, Procurement, and Construction Management.
- You must be fully conversant with Primavera (P6/Sure Trak) and MS Projects, and understand all project management activities that impact a schedule.
- Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to lead a department, build an effective team, and provide mentorship.
- You should have strong skills in delegation, motivating others, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify problems speedily and suggest alternative solutions.
- You will make sound and accurate judgments and provide support for your decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and writing skills, with a proven ability to make effective presentations and communicate complex information clearly
