Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Cloud Operations Leadership: Shape and execute the strategy for managing large-scale cloud operations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency across multiple cloud accounts.
- Large Team Management: Lead and mentor a vast team of over 250 FTEs spanning critical functions including Cloud Operations, Infrastructure Monitoring, Security, Patch Management, and Cost Optimization.
- Revenue & Account Management: Directly manage multiple cloud accounts, demonstrating a strong history of driving success and profitability for engagements with an annual revenue of $15-20M.
- Cloud Best Practices & Architecture: Drive the adoption and implementation of cloud best practices across AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring architectural excellence and operational efficiency.
- Financial & Commercial Oversight: Own the management of budgets, costs, and pricing for cloud support services, ensuring profitability and financial targets are met.
- Customer Relationship Management: Serve as a strong customer-facing leader, building and maintaining robust relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
- Infrastructure & IT Operations Management: Possess a good understanding of database and storage technologies.
Oversee ITIL incident management and other IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes for a global infrastructure.
- Monitoring & Metrics: Establish and maintain robust monitoring and metrics frameworks for a global infrastructure, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of issues.
- Operational Excellence: Continuously drive initiatives for process improvement, automation, and operational excellence within the cloud operations function.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Total Experience: 18+ years of mandatory experience in IT and operations leadership roles.
- Cloud Account Management: Minimum 10 years of experience managing multiple cloud accounts with an annual revenue of $15-20M.
- Large Team Leadership: Proven experience managing more than 250 FTEs across Cloud Ops, Monitoring infrastructure, Security, Patches, and Cost Optimization.
- Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience in Cloud best practices across at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Certifications:
- ITIL Certification is mandatory.
- Infrastructure experience with associated certifications (e.g., Certified Solutions Architect for AWS/Azure/GCP, Azure Certified Architect).
- IT Operations Knowledge: Good understanding of database, storage, ITIL incident management, and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Customer Facing: Strong customer-facing experience with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience managing budgets, costs, and pricing of support services.
- Global Infrastructure: Experience with monitoring and metrics of a global infrastructure.
