About the Role
We are a boutique investment management firm focused on managing concentrated equity portfolios for selective Indian and NRI clients. We are looking for a Client Onboarding & Account Servicing Manager to handle end-to-end account opening, KYC/AML compliance, and client information updates. The role is highly client-centric, requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with custodians and stockbrokers.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding & Servicing
- Manage end-to-end account opening for NRI and resident clients, ensuring complete documentation.
- Handle KYC, AML, FATCA compliance checks in line with SEBI and regulatory requirements.
- Process client requests for modifications to account details (email, mobile, correspondence address, etc.).
- Ensure smooth and timely client onboarding with zero errors and high service standards.
Custodian & Broker Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for custodians and stockbrokers for account opening and maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of client documentation to custodians and intermediaries.
- Track and resolve operational issues with custodians/brokers on behalf of clients.
Process & Technology
- Maintain accurate client records in internal systems and CRM platforms.
- Leverage SaaS-based CRM tools to track client onboarding status, pending documentation, and servicing requests.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of NRI account opening requirements, KYC/AML norms, and SEBI PMS regulations.
- Hands-on experience in client onboarding and account servicing in financial services.
- Excellent intrapersonal skills, strong personality, and effective communication to engage confidently with clients, custodians and brokers.
- Ability to manage multiple client requests with accuracy and timeliness.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (preferably SaaS-based) and strong working knowledge of MS Office.
- Detail-oriented with a compliance-first mindset.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML, or account servicing at a PMS, AIF, private bank or custodian.
- Prior exposure to handling NRI client accounts is strongly preferred.
