Cleartax - Manager/Senior Manager - Business Finance - CA/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

Role Overview

We are hiring a Business Finance Manager / Senior Manager to partner with business leaders across sales, delivery, and product to drive Clear's financial planning, budgeting, cost governance, and strategic decision-making. This is a very high-impact role that combines financial rigor with strong business understanding and cross-functional influence.

You will be the go-to finance partner for cost governance, budgeting, incentive planning, and investor-facing narratives - enabling sustainable growth while ensuring financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Budgeting:

1. Drive governance of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) through clear metric ownership with business leaders.

2. Partner with GTM, product, and delivery leaders to build and own cost budgets for their functions.

3. Monitor budget vs. actuals, flag deviations, and work with owners to drive accountability.

Financial Insight & Cost Optimization

4. Lead or program manage cost optimization initiatives, ranging from opex reduction to productivity enhancement.

5. Analyze cost structures, variances, and revenue trends; identify levers to improve margin and unit economics (e.g., CAC, LTV, churn).

6. Ensure accurate P&L ownership by driving proper cost allocations across business units/functions.

Strategic Business Partnership

7. Co-own and evolve incentive structures for sales and delivery teams across the company - aligning performance with payouts.

8. Partner with business leaders to make real-time decisions grounded in financial data and implications.

Planning & Executive Enablement

9. Build and manage financial models for AOP, scenario planning, and growth strategy.

10. Contribute to investor updates, including board meeting documents and performance narratives.

Qualifications

- MBA (Tier-1 B-School) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Strong command over Excel and financial modeling.

- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
