Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, NIT, ICT, or an institution of similar repute Reports to: Promoters / Group Leadership Role Overview: The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for driving technology innovation, product development, and process optimization across all three companies, ensuring they remain at the forefront of chemical manufacturing and processing equipment design & applications. This is a strategic and technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in: Chemical manufacturing processes Process Equipment Design and its applications Process engineering & optimization The CTO will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to enhance technological capabilities and create innovative, high-performance solutions for the industry. Key Responsibilities 1. Technology Strategy & Product Innovation - Develop and execute a technology roadmap for the three group companies. - Integrate emerging technologies such as automation, process intensification, and digitalization. 2. Expertise in Process Equipment Design & Applications - Lead design improvements for glass-lined reactors, filtration & drying systems, and heat exchangers to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability. - Align equipment design with real-world chemical manufacturing applications to ensure optimal performance. - Troubleshoot equipment performance issues and optimize design for better processing outcomes. - Ensure best-in-class design methodologies and validation processes for all equipment. 3. Process Engineering & Performance Optimization - Improve chemical processing efficiency and safety across Yash Group's manufacturing plants. - Optimize mass transfer, heat transfer, and reaction kinetics in chemical processes. - Implement advanced process control strategies to improve yield, throughput, and energy efficiency. - Reduce operational downtime and enhance plant reliability. 4. Customer Engagement & Trials Process - Manage the trials process, helping customers test their slurries, reactions, and other processes in equipment. - Collaborate with chemical and API manufacturers to enhance their processing efficiency and reliability. - Provide technical solutions to improve filtration, drying, heat transfer, and chemical reactions. 5. Industry Thought Leadership & Global Positioning - Position the companies as global technology leaders in chemical manufacturing and process equipment. - Represent the companies in technical conferences, industry bodies, and global research collaborations. - Build partnerships with research institutions, universities, and industry experts. 6. R&D and Technical Talent Development - Build and lead a high-performing R&D team across all three companies. - Develop a culture of technical excellence, fostering collaboration between chemical engineers, process engineers, and equipment designers. - Mentor and develop future technology leaders. Key Requirements - 25+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process equipment design, and process engineering. - Proven track record of leading technology-driven transformations in the chemical, API, or process equipment industry. - Deep expertise in glass-lined equipment, filtration & drying systems, heat exchangers, and chemical process optimization. - Experience in engaging with large-scale chemical and API manufacturers. - Strong ability to align R&D and technology investments with business objectives. - Willingness to travel extensively across India and internationally.
