The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, architecture, and execution for the Equity Broking business. This role will drive digital transformation, ensure robust trading platform performance, build innovative client solutions, and maintain strong cybersecurity and compliance standards. The CTO will work closely with business, operations, compliance, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric technology solutions in line with regulatory requirements (SEBI/Exchange guidelines).

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Leadership


- Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with the companys vision for equity broking, wealth management, and digital platforms.

- Lead innovation in algo trading, API integrations, digital onboarding, mobile trading apps, and advanced analytics solutions.

- Foster a culture of agility, automation, and continuous improvement.

Platform Development & Infrastructure

- Oversee design, development, and performance of trading platforms, order management systems (OMS), risk management systems (RMS), and back-office solutions.

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and ultra-low latency trading infrastructure.

- Drive migration to cloud/hybrid infrastructure where appropriate.

Risk, Security & Compliance

- Implement robust cybersecurity, data privacy, and disaster recovery protocols.

- Ensure systems comply with SEBI, NSE/BSE, CDSL/NSDL, and other regulatory requirements.

- Proactively monitor risks related to technology, fraud, and data breaches.

Digital Innovation & Client Experience

- Enhance customer experience through intuitive mobile and web trading platforms.

- Implement AI/ML-driven solutions for personalization, fraud detection, and advanced analytics.

- Integrate with fintech partners and payment ecosystems for seamless customer journeys.

People & Vendor Management

- Lead and mentor a high-performing technology team across engineering, infrastructure, and product functions.

- Manage vendor relationships (exchanges, software providers, data providers, cybersecurity vendors).

- Build a strong DevOps and agile delivery culture.

Key Requirements:

- Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.

- Experience: 15+ years of technology leadership, with at least 710 years in capital markets/stock broking/fintech/financial services.

- Proven expertise in trading platform architecture, order routing, RMS, algo trading, APIs, and digital platforms.

- Strong knowledge of SEBI regulations, exchange technology frameworks, and industry compliance norms.

- Demonstrated ability to scale technology for millions of trades/users with high resilience and low latency.

- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes:

- Experience in leading digital transformation in equity broking or fintech companies.

- Exposure to blockchain, AI/ML, and next-gen technologies in financial markets.

- Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving ability.
