We are building the digital backbone of healthcare in India what UPI is to finance, we aim to be for health. Our platform is already onboarding entire city-level health systems, integrating public and private providers into a seamless, secure, and real-time national infrastructure.
Role Summary
Were looking for a dynamic and visionary CTO/CIO to lead the entire technology and information stack of our cloud-native HMIS and tele-health platform. This role demands hands-on technical leadership, deep architectural acumen, and the ability to scale rapidly without sacrificing security, compliance, or innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & Architecture Leadership
- Own the end-to-end architecture across system, application, cloud, and data.
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, cost-efficiency, and high availability of the platform.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Manage cloud operations across GCP regions including cost, disaster recovery, and performance.
- Oversee internal IT (laptops, SASE, MDM), enforcing a zero-trust architecture.
AI/ML & Innovation
- Embed AI/ML features such as ASR, RAG-based summarization, and anomaly detection into the HMIS.
- Evaluate emerging models and deploy practical, production-ready AI enhancements.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Lead initiatives for ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and NABH compliance.
- Oversee DevSecOps, pen-testing, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
Software Development & Documentation
- Implement a robust, auditable SDLC and documentation ecosystem.
- Ensure SOPs, recovery plans, and service documentation are in place and maintained.
Culture & Leadership
- Cultivate a high-performing, ownership-driven engineering culture.
- Stay hands-on with code reviews, incident response, and mentoring on the dev floor.
Client & Pre-Sales Engagement
- Support sales with technical demos, PoCs, and client solutioning.
- Collaborate with C-suite stakeholders at hospitals to gather needs and align platform value.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Translate clinical requirements into development epics.
- Present OKRs to the board and manage key vendor relationships in cloud, AI, and hardware.
Technical Skills & Experience
- 12+ years in engineering with 5+ years in a senior technology leadership role.
- Proven success with health-tech platforms, wellness SaaS, or medical-device integration.
- Deep expertise in multi-tenant SaaS, cloud-native systems, DevSecOps, and CI/CD.
- Proficient in AI/ML integration in real-world healthcare workflows.
- Strong understanding of interoperability standards like FHIR, DICOM, HL7, SNOMED CT.
- Bonus: Experience with embedded systems, firmware, or medical hardware.
