Role Overview
We are seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead and scale operations for a high-growth consumer technology company with a topline of - 750 Cr+. The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring strategic alignment across business functions, and building scalable systems and teams to accelerate growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO in setting vision and strategy, translating it into operational plans and initiatives.
- P&L Ownership: Drive topline and profitability, ensuring delivery against revenue, margin, and efficiency targets.
- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day business across key functions such as supply chain, customer lifecycle management, vendor partnerships, and service delivery.
- Process Excellence: Build robust SOPs, operational playbooks, and scalable frameworks to manage a growing business across multiple geographies.
- Team Leadership: Hire, coach, and mentor senior leaders, ensuring a high-performance organizational culture.
- Technology & Product Integration: Collaborate with product and tech teams to build tools, platforms, and automation for seamless consumer journeys.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, compliance gaps, and operational bottlenecks, ensuring proactive mitigations.
- Board & Stakeholder Reporting: Manage reporting cadence on financial and operational KPIs for investors, partners, and the board.
Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 20+ years of total experience, with at least 7-10 years in leadership roles within consumer internet/consumer tech, e-commerce, logistics, telecom or scaled D2C businesses.
- Proven track record of managing large P&L (- 500 Cr+).
- Exposure to a rapidly scaling environment with experience in multi-stakeholder management.
 Skills:
- Strong business acumen with expertise in growth, scale operations, and efficiency optimization.
- Deep understanding of customer engagement, supply-demand dynamics, and technology-enabled operations.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical decision-making, comfort with data-driven strategies.
- Education: Premier institute MBA/PGDM or equivalent preferred.
