Chief Operating Officer - Renewable Energy
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable operational plans across all business units.
- Drive transformation, innovation, and sustainability initiatives to achieve long-term growth.
- Provide inputs to the Board and Group CEO on industry trends, risk assessments, and expansion opportunities.
Business Development & Growth:
- Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities in domestic and global markets.
- Build strategic alliances, partnerships, and joint ventures to strengthen market position.
- Lead contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and high-value client relationships.
- Drive revenue growth while ensuring profitability across all verticals.
Projects & Operations Management:
- Oversee end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of projects
- Monitor performance against timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Implement operational excellence frameworks, risk management practices, and compliance measures.
- Integrate advanced technologies (AI, IoT, digital platforms) to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Financial & P&L Accountability:
- Manage overall P&L, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
- Ensure financial discipline and adherence to compliance frameworks.
- Provide strategic inputs for investment decisions and capital allocation.
People Leadership & Culture:
- Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional leadership team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology with MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Minimum 20+ years of senior leadership experience in Energy, Renewables, Infrastructure, or Technology-led industries.
- Proven track record of business development, project execution, and scaling multi-vertical businesses.
- Strong exposure to global best practices, sustainability frameworks, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in P&L management and stakeholder engagement at Board/Investor level.
