Role Overview:
We're seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to the COO to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution across a SKU-heavy, high-velocity business. This role requires someone with a strong pedigree, a sharp problem-solving mind, and deep experience in handling complex, tech-integrated supply chain systems across multiple warehouses and channels - including quick commerce and last-mile logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive long-term supply chain vision aligned with business growth and product innovation.
- Operations Management: Oversee sourcing, planning, manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, and distribution across regions.
- SKU Complexity & Demand Planning: Manage a large and dynamic catalog of SKUs with strong demand forecasting and S&OP practices.
- Network Optimization: Set up and scale a distributed warehouse and fulfillment infrastructure to meet growing demand efficiently.
- Quick Commerce Readiness: Build agile and responsive supply chains that cater to instant delivery models and hyperlocal fulfillment.
- Digital Transformation: Lead ERP/WMS digitization initiatives, drive automation, and use analytics to identify blind spots and unlock efficiencies.
- Team Building: Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing supply chain team, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Cost & Performance Management: Drive optimization in cost, inventory days, OTIF metrics, and service levels.
Risk Management: Identify supply-side risks and build contingencies and resilient supplier ecosystems.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Consulting experience in MBB++ mandatory.
- 5-15 years of experience in cases related to supply chain leadership roles within D2C, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce sectors.
- Preferably worked with clients from high-scale, high-complexity brands such as Marico, Unilever, L'Oral, Nykaa, Purplle, Mamaearth, Flipkart, etc.
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation over pure executional experience.
Age bracket: Ideally 30-35 years.
