Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and drive long-term financial strategies aligned with Company's business expansion, profitability, and global growth goals.
- Advise the Board and MD on financial planning, fundraising, investment strategies, and risk management.
- Support financial structuring for large government and EPC contracts, CAPEX projects, and export initiatives.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting cycles, rolling forecasts, and financial modeling across business units (Kolkata, Jaipur, exports, solar).
- Monitor budget variances, cost controls, and optimize working capital and cash flow.
- Prepare MIS reports, board packs, and strategic dashboards for CXO-level reviews.
3. Accounting & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure timely, accurate financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP, Companies Act, and applicable regulations.
- Supervise statutory audits, internal audits, and cost audits.
- Ensure compliance with direct/indirect tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax), MCA/ROC filings, and RBI norms (for exports/imports).
4. Fundraising & Banking Relations
- Lead fund-raising initiatives including working capital limits, project financing, term loans, LC/BG arrangements, and consortium banking.
- Build strong relationships with public and private sector banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
- Monitor credit ratings and negotiate favorable interest and repayment terms.
5. Cost Management & Profitability
- Analyze product-wise, plant-wise, and segment-wise margins (e.g., power vs. solar transformers).
- Lead cost control initiatives in material procurement, production overheads, logistics, and service support.
- Integrate cost optimization insights into pricing strategies and bid submissions.
6. ERP, Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee financial modules in ERP (SAP/Oracle or other), ensuring strong controls and integration with SCM, Sales, and Production.
- Drive digitization of financial processes, automate reports, and strengthen internal controls.
7. Investor & Stakeholder Reporting (if applicable)
- Liaise with shareholders, JV partners, credit rating agencies, and external consultants.
- Ensure transparency and compliance in reporting to all stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- CA/ICWA qualified
- 15-20+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing, heavy engineering, or electrical industries.
- Strong exposure to transformer or capital goods sector is a major advantage.
- Experience in fundraising, banking, audits, compliance, cost control, and large project financial management.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong ethics, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
