CEO - Logistics Firm
Role Overview: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving business strategy, revenue growth, and overall market positioning. Understanding of cold chain logistics (preferable), customer needs across industries (FMCG, pharma, healthcare, agribusiness), and the ability to craft innovative, technology-enabled solutions.
The CEO will oversee business development, sales, marketing, strategic partnerships, and customer success, ensuring the company maintains its leadership position while scaling sustainably.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Growth
a) Define and execute long-term business strategies aligned with company vision and market opportunities.
b) Drive revenue growth through diversification of services, new customer acquisition, and expansion into new geographies and verticals.
c) Identify emerging trends in cold chain logistics and integrate them into business models.
2. Sales & Business Development
a) Lead nationwide and international business development efforts across pharma, food, retail, and healthcare sectors.
b) Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, government bodies, and industry stakeholders.
c) Develop value-added services leveraging IoT, AI, and automation to enhance customer experience.
3. Partnerships & Alliances
a) Forge strategic partnerships with technology providers, suppliers, and global logistics players.
b) Collaborate with financial institutions and investors to support business expansion.
4. Operational & Commercial Leadership
a) Work closely with COO and operations teams to ensure commercial viability and service quality.
b) Design pricing models, contracts, and SLAs aligned with profitability and customer satisfaction.
c) Monitor P&L, revenue forecasts, and ensure achievement of business targets.
5. Leadership & Team Development
a) Build, mentor, and lead high-performing sales, marketing, and business strategy teams.
b) Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management from a reputed business school.
2. 10-15 years of experience in logistics / cold chain / supply chain, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
3. Strong track record of driving revenue growth, business expansion, and managing P&L.
4. Proven ability to build and scale strategic partnerships across industries.
5. Exposure to digital transformation in logistics (IoT, AI, automation, blockchain) preferred.
6. Preferable age around 40 years
