Chartered Accountant - Finance Team

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Fresher Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. This role goes beyond day-to-day accounting, offering exposure to audits, compliance, MIS, financial planning, and investor reporting. The candidate will work closely with the Finance Head and gain mentorship across all aspects of finance in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you'll do:.

- Manage daily accounting operations and transaction processing in Zoho Books.

- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) cycles, including invoice verification, reconciliations, and vendor follow-ups.

- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation.

- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns including GST, TDS, PF, and other compliances.

- Support payroll processing and related compliance checks.

- Prepare schedules, notes, and supporting documentation for statutory and tax audits.

- Assist in monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

- Contribute to MIS reporting, variance analysis, and management dashboards.

- Work on cash flow forecasts, budget tracking, and cost analysis.

- Support in preparing investor decks, board-level reports, and audit deliverables.

- Collaborate with external parties including banks, auditors, and consultants.

- Participate in the setup and improvement of finance systems and processes.

What we're looking for:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Fresher/up to 2 years post-qualification

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, audit processes, and compliance including GST, TDS, Companies Act, and payroll compliance

- Familiarity with accounting software (Zoho Books preferred)

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to take ownership of tasks

- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced startup environment.
