Department Size: 4-5 (Sr. Accountant, Jr. Accountant & Executives)

Role Overview:

We seek a highly competent and ethical Manager (Finance) to lead Finance & Accounts and to build a finance function that supports strong internal controls, vendor discipline, project cost tracking, statutory compliance, and long-term financial planning. This role requires a strong grip over project-based accounting, MIS, cashflow forecasting, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Prepare and Manage Annual Budgets, Project P&Ls, Forecasts, and Variance Reports

- Track revenue recognition and cost of sales across multiple project sites

- Ensure accurate FINANCIAL DASHBOARDS are presented to management monthly

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

- Oversee receivables/payables and working capital optimization

- Prepare weekly cash flow statements and fund planning

- Manage and Develop banking relationships, overdraft limits, Loan Facilities and credit lines

Project & Vendor Cost Control:

- Monitor site-wise profitability and cost overruns

- Standardize PO-to-payment cycle with engineering & procurement teams

- Negotiate vendor terms, validate invoices, and ensure timely payments

Accounting & Compliance:

- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and financial entries in Tally/ERP

- Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, PT, audit schedules, and returns

- Ensure internal controls and compliance with all statutory regulations

ERP & Process Improvement:

- Oversee ERP/Tally setup and data integrity

- Automate Excel-based reporting to reduce manual errors

- Conduct training for team in Excel, Tally, and reporting SOPs

Team Leadership:

- Rebuild and stabilize finance team; recruit and retain competent staff

- Mentor Junior Accountants, set KRAs, and Conduct Quarterly Reviews

- Set clear process, accountability, and zero-tolerance for inaccuracies

Financial Analytics & Business Intelligence:

- Design and maintain project-wise profitability dashboards, highlighting margin variances, cost overruns, and vendor efficiency

- Perform trend analysis of revenue, collections, and expenses across sites, clients, and departments

- Use financial KPIs like EBITDA, Gross Margin %, Working Capital Ratio, and AR aging to identify business risks

- Analyze variance between budgeted and actual costs monthly, with actionable root cause insights

- Build models for forecasting cash inflows/outflows, vendor payment impact, and project cash burn

- Convert raw data from Tally/ERP into decision-ready MIS summaries for Founders

- Support top management with scenario-based financial planning models using ADVANCE Excel

Key Requirements:

- 10 + years of Total experience including minimum 5+ yrs of experience in CORE Finance, including at least 3 years in leadership

- Industry: HVAC, MEP, EPC, Infra, Contracting, Real Estate or similar project-based companies

- Strong experience in Project Accounting, MIS, Budgeting, Tally/ERP

- Hands-on with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, PT, and audit preparation

- Proficient in ADVANCE Excel, POWER-BI and FINANCIAL MODELING.

- Strong Ethical Foundation, Team-Building Capability, And Strategic Mindset

- IIM qualified will be given 1st preference
