About the Role:

- We are hiring a Category Head - Investment Banking (IB) to lead the growth of VCCEdge in the IB vertical. This is a cross-functional leadership role with ownership of revenue, product-market fit, and marketing strategy for the IB customer segment.

- You will be responsible for scaling adoption of VCCEdge across bulge-bracket and boutique investment banks, ensuring the platform delivers daily value to analysts, associates, and senior bankers. You will also play a key role in shaping the platform's roadmap by closely mapping user workflows and evolving market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Revenue & Pipeline Ownership

- Build and execute annual GTM strategy for IB accounts, including targets, pricing, and segmentation

- Own and deliver ARR and gross margin targets for the IB vertical

- Drive predictable pipeline growth through both new business and upsell motions

2. Client Acquisition & Expansion

- Engage with global and domestic investment banks, including M&A boutiques and corporate finance advisors

- Lead high-stakes enterprise sales cycles and complex renewals

- Build long-term strategic relationships with decision-makers and platform champions

3. Product & Market Advocacy

- Translate IB workflows and pain-points into actionable product inputs and enhancements

- Collaborate with Product and Data teams on new modules (e.g., league tables, APIs, taxonomy updates)

- Track competitor activity, publish strategic insight briefs, and inform leadership on segment trends

4. Segment Marketing & Sales Enablement

- Design and execute campaigns tailored for IB clients (webinars, white-papers, conference tracks)

- Develop sales enablement material like playbooks, value calculators, and battle cards

5. Cross-Functional Leadership

- Lead a team of Account Executives and Customer Success Managers for the IB vertical

- Set performance targets, drive deal strategy, and maintain sales discipline (CRM, forecasting)

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive user adoption, renewals, and advocacy

Success Metrics:

- ARR growth and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) for the IB vertical

- Average deal size and reduction in sales-cycle length

- User engagement: monthly active users, product depth (module usage)

- Client satisfaction: NPS / CSAT scores from IB clients

Qualifications:

- Experience in Investment Banking or having worked with IB clients in a consultative/enterprise sales role

- Proven track record of owning revenue outcomes in B2B SaaS or data/analytics businesses

- Gravitas and ability to manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles with senior investment professionals

- Deep understanding of IB workflows, tools, and business models

- Strong mix of sales strategy, product sensibility, and customer empathy

- Hustler mindset with long-term stability and outcomes orientation
