Role Overview:

As the Category Head / Business Head - Edible Nuts, you will be responsible for end-to-end category management, business development, GTM strategy, and P&L ownership.

You will drive sales strategy,market expansion, strategic alliances, and customer engagement while ensuring sustained revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Management & Growth Strategy:

- Own and drive the edible nuts category, including procurement, pricing, and market positioning.

- Develop and execute category growth strategies aligned with business objectives.

- Optimize supply chain efficiency to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.

- Identify trends and innovations in the dry fruit industry to stay ahead of competitors.

Business Development & Sales Strategy

- Identify and onboard new B2B buyers, traders, processors, and institutional clients for EdibleNuts Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share and revenue.

- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across the value chain.

- Drive demand generation through digital and offline sales channels.

P&L Management & Financial Planning

- Own P&L for the edible nuts category, ensuring profitability and revenue targets are met.

- Optimize cost structures, pricing models, and margins to enhance financial performance.

- Monitor key financial KPIs and take corrective actions when necessary.

Market Expansion & Geographical Scaling

- Develop and execute market expansion plans for national and international markets.

- Identify high-potential geographies and establish a strong presence.

- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless logistics and operations.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy & Execution

- Design and implement GTM strategies for new product launches and existing category growth.

- Develop marketing campaigns, brand positioning, and customer outreach programs.

- Leverage digital platforms and offline channels for maximum category visibility.

Strategic Partnerships & Alliances

- Build strategic partnerships with farmers, aggregators, wholesalers of Edible Nuts.

- Develop alliances with logistics, warehousing, and fintech partners for supply chain optimization.

- Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements to strengthen the category ecosystem.

Customer Retention & Engagement

- Implement customer engagement initiatives to ensure high retention rates.

- Work closely with key accounts to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.

- Analyze customer data and feedback to refine offerings and improve service quality.

Key Requirements:

Experience & Qualification:

- 10-15 years of experience in category management, business development, or sales intheagri-food, FMCG, or edible nuts category.

- Proven track record of P&L ownership and revenue growth in B2B or B2C agribusiness.

- Strong experience in edible nuts procurement ( Part of Dry Fruit), market expansion, and strategic partnerships.

- MBA/PGDM in Agribusiness, Marketing, or General Management from a reputed institution.

Skills & Competencies:

- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the dry fruits value chain, pricing, and market dynamics.

- Sales & Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to close high-value deals and partnerships.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft long-term strategies and execute them effectively.

- P&L Management: Experience in managing category profitability and cost structures.

- Go-to-Market Expertise: Strong knowledge of GTM strategies, brand positioning, and demand generation.

- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Agritech platforms, digital commerce, and data-driven decision-making.

- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
