Responsibilities

- Develop modular furniture business and drivers of growth

- Define and plan the sources of growth for modular furniture across categories/cities, price points, customer segments, brands, etc

- Track planned vs. actuals and identify intervention and actions to ensure achievement of targets along with the revenue team stakeholders

- Represent operations to sales folks, sales to operations folks, and customers to management leaders

- Drive profitability for the business by ensuring optimal product mix; own pricing, discounting and product marketing

- Track top-line and bottom-line metrics; identify and implement initiatives to drive greater both the metrics

- Work with the partners and internal planning teams to ensure optimal inventory onboarding based on the business projection

- Senior stakeholder management and development of high-performing teams

- Create presentations, notes around key business issues & opportunities and gather sponsorship across senior stakeholders for alignment and execution

- Grow and develop a team of high-performing category managers


Basic Qualifications


- MBA Degree from Premier B School


- 8-12 years of total experience; 2+ years experience in P&L management

- Ideally must have worked leading multiple categories with direct-line to sales folks

- Experience in building businesses from scratch, and handling uncertainties

- Ability to structure unstructured problems, and define and implement process changes

- Must have people management experience of 2+ years; must showcase ability to lead, mentor, and manage high performing individuals

- High competency in written and verbal communication skills (preparation of business documentation, presenting to senior stakeholders)

- Number-oriented with high competency in business modeling (scenario modeling, data-based decision making)

- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management

- Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Capacity to work individually with minimal or no supervision
