Role: Category Head.
Location: New Delhi/Gurgaon.

Key Responsibilities:
Category Expansion and Innovation:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive category strategy that includes product assortment, market positioning, growth targets, and differentiation strategies.
- Drive innovation within the category through new product development, customization, and unique offerings that set the company apart in the market.
Brand Partnerships & Product Management:
- Identify and engage with renowned brands and artisans to bring exclusive and popular products to our platform.
- Negotiate terms, agreements, and pricing with brand partners to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
- Curate and manage a diverse and appealing product assortment that caters to various customer segments and occasions.
Curating Gift Collections:
- Create curated gift collections that resonate with different occasions, celebrations, and recipient profiles.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling narratives and campaigns around curated collections.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure a reliable and innovative supply chain.
- Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and design and SCM teams to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
- Collaborate with them to develop effective campaigns, promotions, and marketing strategies that drive category awareness and sales.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Analyse sales data and customer feedback to refine gift selection and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Financial Performance:
- Set and manage category budget, forecasting sales, margins, and profitability targets.
- Analyse financial performance and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Drive the achievement of KPIs related to revenue, profitability, product assortment, and customer satisfaction.
- Make informed decisions based on data analysis, market insights, and performance metrics to guide the category's direction.
Customer Focus:
- Understand customer preferences, needs, and feedback to continuously tailor the product assortment to meet their expectations.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention through high-quality products and exceptional experiences.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement within the category team.
- Invest in the professional growth of team members, conducting regular performance assessments, offering feedback, and identifying training needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business and Design related field along with MBA is required.
- Proven experience in category management, product assortment, and vendor/supplier management within the gifting, retail, or related industry.
- Strong track record of successfully launching new products and driving business growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions based on current market trends and consumer preferences in the gifting industry.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and category management.
Requirements:
- 10-18 years of experience.
- Excellent communicator, story teller with honed marketing, negotiation presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate professional & a strategic thinker, who can relate with our existing and future customers needs.
- Should have creative thinking, conceptualization and design skills with a passion for identifying trends and opportunities in the gifting, design and innovation space.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving objectives.
- Experience from Ecommerce or Retail industry is preferred.
