Head of Electronics Category



We are partnering with one of Indias top omnichannel electronics retailers to hire a Head of Electronics Category a pivotal leadership role that will define and drive the growth strategy of the electronics category across online and offline platforms.

This role demands a strategic thinker with deep commercial expertise and a builder mindset someone who has successfully scaled electronics or home entertainment categories and thrives in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities



- Category Ownership: Lead the end-to-end category management for Electronics (mobility, CE, appliances, etc.) across assortment planning, lifecycle management, pricing, promotions, and profitability.



- P&L Leadership: Own the P&L for the category, delivering revenue growth, gross margins, and bottom-line impact.



- Vendor Management: Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with key brands and suppliers. Lead negotiations to optimize cost structures and co-create GTM strategies.



- Portfolio Strategy: Identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and whitespace opportunities to curate a compelling product portfolio.



- Omnichannel Strategy: Drive category performance across online (D2C, marketplaces) and offline (retail stores, distribution) channels. Tailor pricing, content, and campaigns accordingly.



- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing category and merchandising team.



- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Ops, Supply Chain, and Finance to execute seamless category rollouts.



What We're Looking For



- Experience: 15+ years of experience in category management within electronics, appliances, or related consumer durable sectors.



- Track Record: Demonstrated success in scaling categories and driving growth across both online and offline formats.



- Commercial Acumen: Strong business sense with the ability to manage complex vendor relationships, pricing models, and product lifecycle strategies.



- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.



- Consumer Focus: Passion for understanding the Indian consumer and building high-impact, differentiated category offerings.
