Position Title: Data Architect

Practice: Carbon Markets

Reporting to: Senior Associate or Engagement Manager

Team Reporting: Oversight of Analysts/Junior Analyst

External Interactions: Company Clients, Corporate or Industry Officials, SMEs, Consultants, or Government officials

Work Type & Schedule: Full time; Permanent role; Monday to Friday

Work Location: Okhla, New Delhi;

- cKinetics is looking for a Data Architect. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, particularly in startups, and be proficient in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions across various platforms and technologies including Azure Functions, Power Automate, Tableau, Python, SQL, WordPress, RestAPI, and Excel.

- This role involves overseeing the integration of data from brokers, exchanges, government, and public sources, managing data partnerships, and enforcing data rights for both internal and external users.

- A deep understanding of data engineering best practices, and the ability to create and debug machine learning models are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement effective database solutions and models for storing and retrieving environmental data.

- Oversee the integration of data from diverse sources such as brokers, exchanges, government agencies, and public records.

- Develop and manage partnerships with data providers and negotiate data rights and usage agreements.

- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and enforce data rights for internal and external users.

- Monitor system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.

- Educate staff members through training and individual support on data management best practices.

- Knowledge of data engineering best practices.

- Ability to design, build, and maintain the business's ETL pipeline and data warehouse.

- Expertise in machine learning model creation and debugging.

- Offer timely support for system-related issues and queries.

- Be able to pick up new skills and technology as per business requirements.

Qualifications:

- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in an environmental data-focused and startup environment.

- Prior experience in financial analytics, especially related to environmental or sustainability projects.

- In-depth knowledge of database structure principles and data mining techniques.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Azure Functions, Power Automate, Tableau, Python, WordPress, SQL, and Rest API.

- Familiarity with data engineering best practices and machine learning model creation and debugging.

- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
