Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Business Manager Sustainability to lead business development initiatives in the cement, paint, and textile sectors with a particular focus on LC3 (Limestone Calcined Clay Cement) technologies and sustainable construction practices.
The role involves expanding existing business, forging new client relationships globally, and launching innovative sustainability-focused initiatives aligned with the organizations objectives.
The candidate will be responsible for driving at least 25% year-on-year business growth, delivering technical excellence, and establishing TARC as a thought leader in sustainable construction and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth:
- Drive overall business expansion of TARC by achieving a minimum of 25% year-on-year growth in revenues.
- Identify and execute strategic opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
Client & Relationship Management:
- Strengthen and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Develop a new client base across the cement industry globally, with a focus on promoting sustainable materials and practices.
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with stakeholders, including industry players, government bodies, and academia.
LC3 Business Development:
- Promote the adoption and implementation of LC3 technology across multiple sectors, especially construction.
- Expand TARCs footprint in the sustainable building materials space by leveraging increasing global availability of LC3.
Innovation & New Initiatives:
- Conceptualize and launch new sustainability-focused business initiatives in sectors like cement, paint, and textiles.
- Work closely with internal teams to align service offerings with market needs and technological developments.
Service Excellence & Brand Positioning:
- Ensure high-quality delivery of consultancy and technical services to affirm TARCs leadership in the sustainability domain.
- Represent TARC at industry forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to enhance brand visibility.
Revenue & Performance Management:
- Monitor business performance metrics, track KPIs, and optimize service delivery to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Provide strategic inputs to senior management on business planning and market positioning.
Desired Qualification:
- Graduate degree in Engineering or Science
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or Management from a recognized institution
Desired Work Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, preferably in a reputed company or consultancy organization
- Experience in the cement, concrete, or allied industries (such as paints or sustainable construction materials) will be strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and manage client portfolios in technical or sustainability domains
