Key Skills:
- Experienced Senior Business role to launch and scale a sizable category business for the client.
- You will own the growth of this category, from deciding the right selection and pricing strategy, to shaping the user experience, and partner with product and ops to build a relevant product.
- You will work in ambiguity, building and communicating a clear approach and ensuring that we are balancing customer needs, competitive landscape and the strategic priorities constantly.
There are some skills you will be expected to bring to the role:
- High ownership to plan and deliver on business related goals: thinking like an entrepreneur and managing all your dependencies.
- Strong problem discovery to break down 10x opportunities and figure hygiene areas of improvement for the category and business as a whole
- Hands-on with teams: Ability to motivate and lead teams that is sourcing supply and managing demand effectively.
- Ruthless prioritization skills between immediate, medium- and long-term goals.
- Candor and strong communication to align stakeholders on the long-term vision for your category/business to succeed
- Data Rigour to identify points of failure or even success areas to double down on Some of the focus areas will include:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the product and category, customer behaviour and existing gaps in the market while monitoring new developments in the competitive landscape
- Build a selection strategy and plan to solve existing gaps for customers and seller strategy to execute on the selection plan
- Drive and communicate clear launch plans, work with stakeholders across teams and deliver to the launch plan.
- Internal stakeholders you will work with include product and tech, fulfilment, experience and user growth.
- P&L optimization and planning - own business operational strategy including both financial and operational inputs/outputs, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.
- Clear, effective communication to present customer backward view, decision point or data-based arguments that enable delivering on the goal.
- Relentless program management to deliver on critical goals in compressed time frame.
- You will be one of the few senior category folks to own strategic pieces, that decide the roadmap for business plans over the next 5 years e.g. new businesses to launch, roadmap for sale events, outside-in research of consumer wallet share, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- IIT/IIM preferred /Tier1 Institute only
- Contextual understanding of e-commerce business
- At least 5 years of experience with strong academic background
- Demonstrated ability to drive partnerships, take initiatives and manage complex projects and teams
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with a lot of detail
- Demonstrated fast track career growth (promotions and recognitions)
- Entrepreneurial and/or general management /management consulting experience is preferred
