Role OverView:
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Business Head - West & South to lead the strategic growth of our FMCG and Consumer Products vertical. His role carries full P&L responsibility for a business portfolio of - 400-500 Cr and involves scaling category operations from ground up. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to drive market expansion and revenue growth across diverse geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Ownership
- Drive end-to-end P&L ownership for the West & South region, managing a portfolio valued at - 400-500 Cr.
- Develop and execute robust business strategies to drive top-line growth, profitability, and market leadership.
- Analyze business performance, market dynamics, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Team Management
- Lead a cross-functional team of 30-40 professionals across sales, category management, and business operations.
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability through structured mentoring and performance management.
- Build organizational capability through effective hiring, training, and talent development.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Own sales planning and execution to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, finance, and operations to ensure aligned GTM strategies and seamless customer delivery.
- Optimize key business levers to maximize profitability and customer value.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage strong relationships with key enterprise clients in the FMCG/Consumer Goods sector.
- Serve as a strategic partner to clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term engagement.
- Act as a key liaison between clients and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and service excellence.
Market Expansion & Category Development
- Drive regional expansion and penetration across Tier 1, 2, and 3 markets.
- Lead initiatives to build and scale category presence, taking products from 0 to 1.
- Stay informed on market trends, emerging business models, and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
Candidate Profile
- MBA from a Tier 1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, etc.).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business leadership roles, preferably in FMCG or fastgrowing consumer product segments.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale businesses with full P&L responsibility.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and executive presence.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a track record of building categories from the ground up.
