Business Head - Fashions
Job Description:
As the Business Head - Fashions, one will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and market leadership. This position will oversee end-to-end business operations including strategy, buying & merchandising, category management, marketing, and sales (online/offline). This role demands strong business acumen, deep industry knowledge, and a creative mindset to lead the brand in a highly competitive and trend-driven market.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy & P&L Ownership
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for the fashion vertical aligned with overall company goals.
- Full ownership of the P&L, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Drive product innovation and selection in line with fashion trends and consumer demand.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop private labels or exclusive collections.
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, finance, tech, and HR teams to ensure execution excellence.
- Drive initiatives for customer loyalty, retention, and satisfaction.
Experience and skill sets:
- Must have 12 to 18 years of experience in fashion business
- Drive P&L for the organization.
- Product Strategy-Make in India product sourcing strategy, Pricing/ GP
- Good knowledge of ecommerce business - marketing, negotiation with ecommerce vendors and sales strategy
Key competencies:
- Business leadership
- Man management & channel management
- A candidate who brings in 360- experience, numbers to profitability
- Collaboration and good conflict resolution skill
- High on emotional maturity.
Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institute.
- 15 -18 years of experience in fashion retail/apparel industry with at least 8+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in category management, P&L ownership, and strategic planning. Strong network and understanding of the Indian/global fashion landscape.
- Analytical, data-driven decision-making with a creative and trend-aware mindset.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to omnichannel or D2C business models.
- Experience working with design-led or fast fashion brands.
