Business Development Manager - EPC Projects (International Tendering)
Role Overview:
- You will be responsible for driving business growth within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) domain, with emphasis on African markets. Experience in additional international regions is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Opportunity Identification
- Scout for emerging EPC tenders and business avenues, especially in Africa, and ideally beyond.
- Domestic Business Development
- Engage with national-level stakeholders to develop and expand the domestic pipeline.
- Client Engagement & B2B Liaison
- Conduct meetings and maintain direct relationships with developers, agents, and partner firms.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with tendering, technical, and commercial teams to ensure the timely preparation and submission of high-quality bids.
- Lead Generation & Opportunity Tracking
- Proactively generate leads and monitor the progress of business opportunities from inception to submission.
- Project Costing & Approval
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and submit them to senior management for review and approval.
- Competitive Analysis & Price Tracking
- Compile lists of project participants, monitor bid opening outcomes, and prepare comparative pricing analyses.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven track record in securing EPC contracts within African markets.
- Exposure to other international EPC environments is a plus.
- Strong business development instincts and client-facing experience.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams-technical, finance, and commercial-to align bid documents.
- Excellent analytical skills for preparing cost estimates and competitor analysis.
- Effective communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-focused in tracking tenders and managing bid processes.
