Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion for our IoT-powered wastewater management solutions. You will identify and convert high-potential leads, develop deep customer relationships, and close strategic deals that contribute directly to the top line.

This role requires someone who is analytical, entrepreneurial, and results-driven, with a passion for sustainability and the ability to navigate complex B2B environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Acquisition & Revenue Generation: Own multi-crore sales targets, generate high-potential leads, engage customers, respond to inbound inquiries, and close deals.

- Market Research & Analysis: Track industry trends, policies, regulations, competitive landscape, customer needs, and whitespace opportunities.

- Business Reporting: Provide insights to inform strategic decisions on sector focus, geographical expansion, and new initiatives.

- Travel & Customer Engagement: Travel extensively across North/West regions to engage with customers, conduct site visits, and build strong business relationships.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with delivery, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and long-term success.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.

Professional Experience

- 3-8 years of top-tier experience in enterprise sales of software, IoT, automation, or technology-enabled B2B solutions.

- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

- Strong analytical and logical skills with the ability to structure complex deals.

- Experience in navigating large industrial or infrastructure accounts preferred.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong communication and negotiation skills with executive presence.

- Ability to travel extensively within Delhi-NCR or Mumbai/Pune regions.

- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and G Suite.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for sustainability and impact.
