Job Description:
Candidates with an educational background from Tier-1 institutions (e.g., IITs, IIMs, ISB, NITs, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem and a proven track record in the eCommerce industry. You will be responsible for driving new business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base in the Shopify/D2C space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the entire sales cyclefrom lead generation to closing new clients.
- Identify and target prospective clients in the Shopify and D2C eCommerce space.
- Develop tailored proposals and pitch decks aligned with client needs and goals.
- Build long-term relationships with brands, tech partners, and agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Design, Tech, Marketing, Strategy) to align business objectives with execution.
- Represent the company at Shopify events, industry webinars, and networking platforms.
- Track sales metrics and KPIs using CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.
- Keep up with Shopify platform changes, app ecosystem trends, and market competitors.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition in the eCommerce or Shopify ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of Shopify platform capabilities, features, and its app marketplace.
- Proven success in closing high-value deals or partnerships with eCommerce brands.
- Should have good experience in international sales (US and Canada).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in managing a sales pipeline and working with CRMs.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking
