Role Overview

As a seasoned Business Development Manager, you'll drive strategic growth, identify and close high-value deals, and build lasting partnerships. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to help shape our market position and achieve ambitious revenue goals. Ideal candidates bring 7-10 years of proven business development or sales success.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

- Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company goals

Lead Generation & Market Analysis

- Identify and qualify new business opportunities via market research, networking, and events

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

- Build and maintain robust relationships; ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships

Sales Management & Deal Closure

- Lead negotiations, craft compelling proposals, and close complex deals

Pipeline & Forecasting Oversight

- Utilize CRM tools for tracking; update leadership with accurate forecasts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with marketing, product, operations to align go-to-market initiatives

Leadership & Mentoring

- Mentor junior BD/sales staff, shape best practices and revenue-driven culture

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)

- 7-10 years in business development, sales leadership, or related roles

- Proven track record of hitting/exceeding targets and closing high-value deals

- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) and pipeline management

- Strong financial literacy-experience with P&L, forecasting, pricing models

Skills & Competencies

- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess market trends and adjust strategies accordingly

- Sales & Negotiation Mastery: Comfort in leading contract negotiations

- Relationship-Building Excellence: Proactive engagement and deep customer insight

- Leadership & Team Development: Proven mentorship skills

- Communication & Presentation: Clear, compelling communication, both verbal and written

- Adaptability & Initiative: Thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments

- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with MS Office, CRM, and analytics tools; digital marketing/digital lead gen experience a plus.
