Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Data Privacy (PIPA/GDPR)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong technical background and a focus on data privacy and regulatory compliance, particularly PIPA (Personal Information Protection Act) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and data security.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to define, document, and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

- Lead initiatives related to PIPA/GDPR compliance, including data mapping, gap assessments, and process improvements.

- Analyze data flows and identify areas of non-compliance across systems and processes.

- Work closely with data engineering, security, and legal teams to implement data privacy policies and controls.

- Create detailed BRDs, FRDs, data dictionaries, and process flows.

- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather requirements and define solutions.

- Develop and maintain documentation related to data lineage, classification, and governance.

- Ensure ongoing compliance with privacy laws and adapt to new or evolving regulatory requirements.

- Support audits and internal reviews by providing accurate and timely documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data-related projects.

- Experience in the Banking and financial services industry.

- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations such as PIPA, GDPR, CCPA, etc.

- Proven experience in data governance, data classification, and compliance projects.

- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable technical deliverables.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, or similar.

- Experience working with data teams (ETL, data warehouses, data lake, etc.).

- Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
