Job Description: Business Analyst - Payments

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Business Analyst in the Payments domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cross-border payments, SEPA, ISO 20022, SWIFT, MT, MX, RTGS, and Global Banking systems. This is a key role within our organization, aimed at driving improvements and ensuring seamless integration of payment solutions in a global banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to gather and define business requirements related to payments processing.

- Conduct business analysis and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.

- Analyze and assess the current state of the payment systems, processes, and platforms and provide recommendations for improvements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance payment systems, including cross-border payments, SEPA, and other international payment schemes.

- Ensure compliance with global payment standards, including ISO 20022, SWIFT, MT, MX, RTGS.

- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with the technical team to ensure successful deployments.

- Provide continuous support for payment solutions and manage issue resolution during production.

- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of business needs with technical capabilities.

- Contribute to the strategic initiatives of the payments team, particularly in the areas of process optimization and automation.

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Cross-Border Payments, including international payment processes.

- Proficiency with SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) and understanding of its operational requirements.

- Deep understanding of ISO 20022 messaging standards, particularly for payment transactions.

- Expertise in SWIFT network and SWIFT messages (MT, MX) formats.

- Familiarity with RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) systems and their operational flow.

- Solid experience as a Business Analyst (BA) in the banking and payments domain.

- In-depth knowledge of Global Banking systems, international payment protocols, and regulatory requirements.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create comprehensive documentation and communicate complex technical information effectively.

- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with payment solutions at a global scale, including multi-currency, multi-country payment operations.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.

- Experience in project management or coordination with technical teams to implement payment system solutions.
