Position: Business Analyst

Job Summary:

- We are seeking a proactive and skilled Business Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development environment.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong, demonstrable understanding of Agile principles and practices and a proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

- This role is crucial for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that user needs are accurately captured, translated into actionable user stories, and delivered as high-quality solutions.

- You will be a key contributor to the entire Agile process, from backlog refinement to sprint retrospectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to understand and contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring the product backlog is refined and prioritized effectively.

- Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements using various techniques, including workshops, interviews, and surveys, to ensure a deep understanding of user needs.

- Translate user needs into clear, concise, and well-structured user stories with clearly defined, testable, and measurable acceptance criteria.

- Facilitate and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, to drive team alignment and efficiency.

- Act as a dedicated liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, providing clarification on requirements, answering questions, and ensuring a shared understanding of all user stories.

- Prioritize user stories in collaboration with the Product Owner and the development team, ensuring alignment with business value, strategic goals, and technical feasibility.

- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, recommending and documenting solutions that leverage technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Create and maintain detailed process flows, use cases, and other relevant documentation to support the development and understanding of requirements.

- Support all testing efforts by providing clear and unambiguous requirements and acceptance criteria, and assist with test planning and validation as needed.

- Identify, document, and manage non-functional requirements such as performance, security, and scalability to ensure the delivered solution is robust and sustainable.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile processes and practices within the team, fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.

- Agile Principles and Practices: A strong and demonstrable understanding of Agile principles and practices, including frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.

- Agile Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely and effectively within cross-functional Agile teams, fostering collaboration and open communication.

- Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Experience in facilitating all core Agile ceremonies.

- User Story Writing: Excellent skills in writing clear, concise, and testable user stories with well-defined and measurable acceptance criteria.

- Backlog Prioritization: Experience in collaborating with Product Owners and development teams to prioritize user stories based on business value, technical feasibility, and other relevant factors.

- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.

- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to effectively engage with and manage the expectations of various stakeholders, including product owners, developers, testers, and business users.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Confluence.

- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools like SQL, Excel, or Tableau.

- Experience with process modeling techniques such as BPMN.

- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP)
