Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.

This role requires a professional with the ability to manage teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements definition to testing.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a deep understanding of core insurance business processes and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Team Leadership:

- Manage and supervise teams through all project lifecycle phases, including requirements definition, application mapping, technical design, application development, and testing.

- Lead requirements elicitation sessions and product demos.

- Document detailed business requirements and translate them into test conditions.

Business Analysis & Research:

- Research business inquiries, emerging issues, P&C insurance industry practices, and new application technologies.

- Conduct quality management reviews of designs, prototypes, and other requirements work products.

Domain Knowledge:

- Apply knowledge of Policy administration, Claims management, Customer billing, and Agency/Customer Portals.

- Utilize knowledge of insurance packaged software like Origami, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or Majesco.

- Understand data and reporting, as well as workflow.

Skills:

Required Skills:

- Industry Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) personal lines, commercial lines, or specialty lines.

- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise teams throughout the project lifecycle.

- Technical: Experience with requirements documentation, quality reviews, and translating requirements into test conditions.

- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Technical Skills & Certifications:

- Systems: Experience with Jira and SAFe Agile is a plus.

- Tools: Experience with User Interface tools like AEM is preferred.

- Cloud: Understanding of GCP services, API interfaces, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.

- Certifications: Certifications such as Associate in Insurance (AINS), Certified Business Analyst (CBAP), Charted Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and Associate in Claims (AIC) are preferred.

Education & Experience:

Education: A bachelor's and master's degree in relevant field.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the P&C insurance industry
