Brisil is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to join the team.

It is also funded & supported by organizations, like Act Grants, Marico Innovation Foundations Scale up program, Technoserves GreenR program, Millennium Alliance etc. Their technology has received prestigious awards, including the India Innovation Growth Program Award by DST, Government of India & Lockheed Martin, the Economic Times' Power of Idea Award, the Global Cleantech Innovation Program Award by UNIDO, and the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK. Brisil's innovative technology utilizes rice husk ash, a waste product generated in large quantities globally, to produce highly dispersible silica and other grades of precipitated silica. This advanced silica is used as a filler in energy-efficient green tires to improve tire performance. Additionally, precipitated silica has applications in various industries including rubber products, conveyor belts, shoes, toothpaste, soaps & detergents, salt & food powders, paints & coatings, and pharmaceuticals. Brisil's has its distributors in more than 15 countries. Its customers list includes some leading global brands, including some Fortune 500 companies.

Job Description:

- Brisil has a vacancy for Research Scientists whose main responsibility would be to develop new product/technologies. S/He would be leading the R&D team and managing the projects. Gaining chemical knowledge about the new technologies for the development of new and innovative products is an important aspect of the job. Keeping up with technological innovations, liaising with other internal stakeholders (marketing, supply, purchasing) by reading literature and patents, discussions with suppliers and attending conferences are other parts of the daily work.

- The major area of research would be related to advanced materials (precipitated silica, Activated Carbon and other related materials).

Area of Responsibility:

- Providing deep technical expertise regarding the development of chemical products

- Managing & supervising research projects

- Developing technical solutions using existing and new technologies as well as other innovation methods.

- Managing multiple projects, estimating timeline and resources, and coordinating efforts to meet timeline

- Direct, plan and manage the conception and delivery of market focused products and processes

- Interacting with potential clients to understand their product requirements

- Conducting necessary literature search

- Acquire knowledge (chemistry, material and process) required for a technical expert

- Designing, initiating and executing studies, and interpreting the study results

- Preparing the experiment plans and executing it with the support of the team,

- Analysing test & experiment results

- Working with the commercialization team to commercialize the technologies at the lab scale

- Developing and implement metrics to drive a high degree of continuous improvement in critical

thinking, planning, organizing and execution of scientific projects

Qualifications:

- Research and Development (R&D) skills

- M.Tech. or PHD degree in rubber/polymer field

- 5-8 year Experience in product development, R&D and project management

- Experience in the materials, tires or chemical industry

- Team management and leadership abilities

- Strong project management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team

Compensation : A compensation package commensurate with experience
