About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join Brickendon's Sales team. The role involves driving sales of our consulting services and solutions, developing long-term client relationships, and contributing to the firm's overall growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive lead generation, leveraging professional networks, and industry contacts.
- Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Conduct targeted client outreach, including telephone campaigns and direct engagement.
- Stay updated on competitor strategies, market trends, and the full solution sales cycle to refine sales approaches.
Account Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor to both existing and prospective clients.
- Engage regularly with clients to understand evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to convert client feedback into tailored, innovative solutions.
Bid Management & Pre-Sales:
- Take ownership of bid management and pre-sales activities.
- Work closely with senior sales and delivery teams to design and present client-focused solutions.
Commercial Management & Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations with new clients.
- Ensure commercial agreements align with company objectives and profitability.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven sales experience in banking, IT services, or consulting/advisory, with the ability to sell to C-suite and senior decision-makers.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding business development targets.
- Experience as a Recruiter (in-house or agency), ideally in banking or financial services.
- Knowledge of at least one complex banking function (e.g., Risk, Finance, Front Office, Operations).
- Established professional network within the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated skills in cold-calling, negotiation, and influencing.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and effectively across teams.
